Has anyone used Equine Express to transport their horse? If so, your experience, recommendations?
Yes, I used them last August when we moved from OR to TX to move my 2.
My experience was pretty seamless. They arrived for pickup as planned, I had a friend meet them at the barn in OR because I was already in TX. They had a one night layover at the base farm in TX, before they were put on a smaller trailer for the few hours’ haul to our new house. Neither horse was an experienced traveler, so I paid for box stalls for both and they arrived in great shape. The guys that off-loaded them were professional and handled them well. I really couldn’t find anything to complain about, but I was flexible on both ends as far as the departure and arrival dates. IIRC I got a picture text update on the one who is a nervous hauler, when they arrived to the layover farm.

I’ve used them 3 times, very happy with their service. Picked up on time and delivered as planned. Good communications and horse(s) unloaded fresh and looking great. All three times were long hauls and had an overnight stop in TX, pictures were sent to show them in their stalls at the overnight facility. I would highly recommend them.
I’ve used them twice and had no complaints. The last time was in 2017 and was from Tennessee to El Paso, TX. Picked up on time, transported to their Texas farm, where he stayed for a few days, and then to his destination. While at the Texas farm, the owner/manager? called me daily. He was very unhappy to tell me that he couldn’t turn the horse out due to flooded pastures but they put him in the biggest stall they had. He arrived in fine condition.
Highly recommend! Used them to bring an adopted horse from KY to TX and he walked off the trailer completely fresh. I’m planning to use them here again soon for another OTTB.
Forgot to say – they are horse people. Not just truck drivers. makes a HUGE difference!
