Horsegirls and HorsegirrL

The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (our ABC, a left-wing news site) clearly had a verrrrrryy slow news day. Mind you, they broadcast the Saddle Club when it first aired so they do have some skin in the game…

The birth, death, and subsequent rebirth of the HorsegiirL

What was truly disturbing to me is… HorseGirrL. How did I miss this? I have never heard of her before! Click at your own risk :joy: :joy:

My Barn, My Rules

:grimacing: Agreed, “disturbing” is the word that occurred to me too.
Yes, as a '50s kid, I was a horse.
But the hiphop-ness of that was just weird.
Pass from this Old Horsegurrrlll :unamused:

I’m afraid to click on the links. Can someone give me the CliffsNotes version?

First link is an article about the rise and fall of “horse girls” aka the Saddle Club tweens of the 2000s. It is quite safe.

The video is referenced by the article and you can see a screenshot of it, so you can choose to view it or not. It’s not bad bad, more like… so bad it’s funny. Ish.

Thank you. I read the article but don’t need to watch on the video. A Mustang x Haflinger x human cross is enough info for me

Actually I found the video rather sweet and clever. It’s in part a spoof of the “home made” obviously photo shopped silly videos of music stars like early DojaCat who broke out on social media. DojaCat liked to dress up as a cow.

It’s definitely spoofing a particular genre of video and music. She even sounds a bit like DojaCat et al.

Ok I didn’t read the article. She is a DJ from Germany and actually got performances from this. So not entirely a spoof.

Germans doing American style pop music are often very very weird.
