Horserail fencing Pros and Cons???

I am looking at using Horserail or a Horserail type of fencing for my paddocks. 5 of them are fairly small for horses to go out for a few hours and 4 are for Overnight turnout 1-2 horses max per paddock. Would use wood posts with cement at the end. Does anyone have experience with this type of fencing I prefer it over PVC as that cracks in the South Florida heat. Wood is nice but less board replacement would be preferable. I’m running Electric tape on top of all the paddocks. We board mostly higher level jumpers as well. Thanks in advance. Any cost saving tips are also appreciated I am lusting after a new pump to run the water cannons.

Instead of electric tape above the Horse Rail, why not use Hot Top or Hot Top Plus? That’s the electrified version of Horse Rail (HT+ is electrified top and bottom; HT just at the top). Costs slightly more but probably less than running a separate tape of electric.

From what I understand, the posts at the end need to be strong and thick; the ones in between not so much.

I was going to stain my posts black to match the rail but my timber guy warned that will increase heat absorption and thus cracking, so am tossing up. Probably still just for looks!

IMO the black HR looks much better than the white.

Are you doing the fencing yourself or using a contractor?

Thanks for the info unfortunately i have to use white as my main investor thinks it looks better. I am using a contractor that has done plenty of wood/PVC horse related fencing but never used this stuff. I LOVE electric so if it lasts I will definitely use the electrified version on the top rail. Thanks for the input!
