I’ve just moved back to the area after a couple years away and am ready to get back out hunting. I’ve just officially joined the Middleburg Hunt, and am on the hunt for my own to buy. In the mean time, does anyone know of some Middleburg area barns that lease hunt horses or have any for hire? I have my own trailer and am happy to do all care and prep, I just need a horse to get out on! Any guidance is much appreciated.

While Anne McIntosh and Mary Potter have some wonderful hirelings, they are not Middleburg-area based. OP, I would assume that they, like most people who lease/rent hunt horses, would not let someone else haul their horses, thereby making the hauling fee up to M’burg a bit high…
