I used to feed Farrier’s Formula, but it is just so expensive. I have three horses to feed it to. I’ve picked up a tub of Horseshoer’s Secret to try out as it is much more cost effective. How does it compare to Farrier’s Formula? I suppose I’ll find out myself after a little while, but I’d really like to hear other’s thoughts!
TSC has their own version of Farrier’s Formula which is almost exactly the same. Same ingredients in the same percentages.
Horseshoer’s Secret is my favorite hoof supplement. In all the years I played the supplement game, that’s the only one I still use since I do see a difference when he’s not on it. It’s great stuff.
I use the TSC, Dumore, hoof supplement. I was looking for something cheaper than FF and the ingredients/% compared very well.
I use Integri Hoof by Kauffman’s Animal Health. It was rated better than Farrier’s Formula by The Horse Journal and costs significantly less. They will have a decent sale coming up for Black Friday/ Cyber Monday as well as free shipping.
Bioflax 20. It worked very well for my horse. Strong feet, no chipping, no cracking, left his coat soft as an extra bonus. It is less expensive than many hoof formulas.
