I think it might be fairly new. My mare is currently on Smartbreathe, but she is continuing to have issues. I know this particular company is a bit pricy, but usually pretty effective. She is on meds currently and we are going back to steaming her hay, but I am also thinking about trying this product. TIA
I tried it this year for my horse for seasonal headshaking which was especially bad this spring. Can’t say it did much for that, but he loves the taste, and it wasn’t much of a loss considering I’ve given him MSM and extra omegas from other sources from time to time. Possibly less coughing but it’s hard to say. Didn’t have much impact on the head flipping, nose running/rubbing type symptoms. According to my holistic vet, the amount of the spirulina and turmeric per dose is on the low side. That said, a friend of mine got spirulina by itself from HT and her horse won’t eat the full dose recommended by this vet.
I can’t say if it would help other respiratory related issues or not.
Thank you for the feedback. I have given my mare the spirulina separately before, and that was one of the ingredients I was excited about. I have not tried turmeric yet though.
