I’m going on a road trip to the Outer Banks next week and thinking about making a detour to the Horseware outlet, I believe it’s in Kinston, NC? Has anyone been here, how is the selection? Is it still even open? All the stuff I can find online is from the early 2000’s.

I would just give Horseware a call. Their US factory is in Kinston.

Last I contacted them it was closed still also.
IIRC (and it’s been a long time) it closed to the public because COTHers were making the poor guy running it miserable! 
It IS open!! Woohoo, vacation just got that much better (and more expensive, hehe)

I think that Triple Crown blankets used to be made in Kinston. I would be curious to know if the outlet has any returns of the custom dress blankets/sheets/coolers.
when I called they answered the phone “Horseware Triple Crown” so I bet they have both. I can give a report when I get back!

Anyone know if they are still open in 2013? Am from E. NC but not living there anymore and am in need of replacing a blanket or two. Could always talk my dad into going by there or just taking a different route home inorder to make a stop. (I’m sure hubby would just LOVE that one :) )

Hey everyone! I am guessing they are still open in 2013, I got an email about their tent sale this past October which is apparently a great event! What they have us very seasonal, but when I was there last summer I got a Rambo mid weight turnout, a windbreaker, a pair of fluffy winter socks, a scrim and a returned custom Triple Crown dress sheet all for about $125!! It was awesome! I lucked out because it happened to be easy to find the blanket size I needed. They have a lot of discontinued stuff, etc and its not a very big space but you just might have a lucky day too! I was the only person there and they actually had to come out of the front office to let me in the shop. They were very nice btw!
