It seems like everyone that hot cloths their horses use either Shapley’s no. 1 or no. 2 oil. I can’t get either of those locally or on prime and I kinda need to do it on short notice. Are there any other alternatives that I could get from TSC, Runnings, or Walmart? I have the Healthy Haircare Concentrate that has oil and lanolin in it so idk if maybe that would work?
Are you referring to hot towelling? I think baby oil will work for that, too. But I would imagine Healthy Haircare would work as well. That is designed to be diluted with water anyway.
Sallys Beauty Supply or Walmart both sell Cantu hair and scalp oil. It works fine, but a bit more expensive per oz.
I use a tablespoon size dollop of coconut oil. Works great. Very light.
