Which bridle brand and modle is this? Itâs lovely! Also you mentioned that itâs on the way out, do you happen to know what is on the way âinâ? Silly question but Iâm just curious on the upcoming trends, hunters in particular.
thanks!
Thatâs an Aramas. I am seeing more fancy unpadded these days.
Thanks!!
I have been drooling over Edgewoodâs wide noseband bridle for forever. It would definitely be my first choice hands down. The leather is so soft, supple, and gorgeous! It also looks good on virtually any horse. I have been fawning over my friendâs bridle for the longest time.
I currently own an older model CWD bridle, which is beautiful as well. It looks really nice and professional on my young hunter. If you arenât a fan of the wider noseband bridles, the CWD bridle would be a great choice as the noseband on it is on the thinner side. The leather is very soft and a dark buttery brown. I really love it.
Dyâon has some beautiful bridles as well. Their anatomic bridle, in particular, is stunning.
Another vote for Edgewood. The hype is well deserved. They are beautifully made, and the leather is butter soft but still stands up to hard use. Interestingly, Iâve found a mid range option thatâs worked nicely for bridles is Ovation (Bonus: they are pretty close in color to the Edgewood leather when oiled, so Iâd personally suggest investing in some Edgewood reins if you go this route.)
I have had PS of Sweden for a few years and like the styles but definitely do not think the leather is nearly as nice as other bridles in that price range. The leather on my Smartpak Wellfleet bridles is much nicer. But I still really like the PS for the shape etc.
For jumpers CWD remains very in. I really liked our bridles from Ikonic.
This is a great website! I found some nice things so thank you for this!
I love the quality of my Dyâon dressage bridle, I would imagine the quality of their hunter bridles would be the same.
Are there any other thoughts on these bridles? Curious how nice they are.
Antares, dyon PS are in fact stunning bridles. My only problem is that the nose band is in attachment to the headstall so you arenât able to switch out nosebands unless they also have the two buckles ( hope I am explaining the right). It just means more of an investment piece that isnât as versatile and canât switch out my already expensive nosebands from edgewood, etc.
I really am a fan of the New Calvary bridles. You hardly see them in tack stores but I buckled down and bought one site unseen from his site online. In love. And you can get custom colors in the fancy stitching on the noseband which seems to be pretty stylish and understated.
So, I just got one of the Tota Comfort bridles to try on my jumper - havenât even tried it yet, but it looks gorgeous! My other bridles are Antares and Five Star, like them both very much, but they are pretty standard. Really hoping that the anatomic design of the Tota makes a difference for my guy, who messes with his head WAY too much.
New Cavalry bridles are my all time favorite! They are made in the US and are completely customiable, with cool features like subtle color inlay in the fancy stitch pattern.
For a nice looking bridle that wonât break the bank, check out C&C Signatureâs line. I just got my filly the wide nose hunter bridle. It has really nice features for the price, like padded monocrown, padded piece for under the nose and an detachable flash. Didnât want to break the bank since sheâll probably move from cob to horse size by the time sheâs full crown.
Thank you @vangus19 We are very pleased to hear you like your Equiline bridle. @raisethebar please contact us at info@equilineamerica.com and we will have someone call you to explain our products and their availability.
I was at the KHP for the Land Rover 4* Kentucky event a couple weeks ago, with every vendor under the sun seemingly in attendance, and I saw some droolworthy bridles. The Antares hunter bridle was like butter, it was gorgeous. Dâyon, Butet and CWD also had some beautiful ones as well. So if any of those are the price point you are looking at, definitely look into them! Iâm now coveting the Antares one!!
Howâs this bridle working out for you? Any change in your horse? Worth the money?
I have an Arc de Triumphe and a KL Select (Red Barn) Fancy Stitch that I am in love with.
I really, really like the new Antares bridles, but I find them much more jumpery, even the hunter model one. The buckles and the noseband and browband arenât traditional enough for the hunters IMO. I havenât loved the CWD bridles that I have seen, but everyone who has them that I know doesnât look after them, and I think that the leather they are made out of is harder than other high end bridles.
I donât know which one you have seen, but the Antares fancy-stitched wide noseband hunter model (picture attached) that we saw was definitely hunter-appropriate and gorgeous! And the leather was butter-soft.
