Hottest Bridles?

I am coming from dressage land and am wondering if anyone could help point me to some of the most desired/fashionable/ high-end hunter/jumper bridles available? What are the newest trends in bridles for these disciplines? What do you like, and why? Thanks so much!!

For high end, Hadfield’s has beautiful high quality bridles http://www.hadfieldssaddlery.com/collections-forthehorse.html

edgewood is still very popular. And wide noseband styles have been very popular.

Beval used to make high end bridles but their quality is not what it used to be.

Check out lundsaddlery.com. I have their H/J snaffle bridle, grippy reins and 3 point breastplate and love each piece. The leather comes out of the box soft, it cleans easily, and the padding is super nice. Looks easy to darken also, though I kept mine as-is. For the price, it’s a great deal.

I have the Antares bridle and it is beautiful. Soft and supple and had held up very well.

I have an Antares as well. So soft, I love it.

I love my PS of Sweden bridles. Beautiful leather. After getting a jumper one, I replaced my Antares dressage bridle with the rolled leather and patent PS of Sweden dressage bridle. Get tons of compliments on it.

A small, woman owned company out of Florida is making beautiful bridles, Huntley Equestrian.

Got my first high end bridle this year- a wide noseband Edgewood. I am simply in love. After it was dipped in oil it darkened to a stunning chocolate color and is like butter in your hands. Now I know why people love these things! Highly recommend!

ADT, Antares, Cwd, Huntley, Edgewood, dyon are all very nice bridles!

I have 2 Butet’s and LOVE them!! I’ve also had a Vespucci, Dy’on and an Arc de Triomphe over the last few years. Had to have the Vespucci replaced, which they did with no issue. Loved all of them, but love the Butet ones the best.

I feel like the wide unpadded thing is a little on the way out? I still like it and use one… but I feel like that isn’t as trendy as it once was…

Another vote for PS of Sweden! Their bridles are fantastic and I definitely feel a difference in my horses

One additional comment – you asked for suggestions on “hunter/jumper bridles” but what you will see in the hunter ring can be different from what you will see in the jumper ring. Are you aiming for one ring vs. the other? For example, the PS of Sweden bridles are definitely very popular with jumpers, but I don’t know if they even make a hunter-appropriate bridle (they may, I just have only seen the jumper ones!). So, you may want to clarify which ring you are aiming for, or if you are going to dabble in both!

I just got an Equiline wide nosed hunter bridle and I love it! Leather is beautiful and price (including reins) was way better than comparable bridles. Highly recommend.

Just from looking at their website, the Huntley bridle is beautiful but does it only come in a wide noseband version? The Equiline bridle ads also look lovely, I think I would be tempted to try one or both of these brands.

In the past I have owned Antares, Hadfields, Edgewood and CWD and would highly recommend any of those, I loved them all. I also have a Beval Heritage but it is older, before the quality went downhill, don’t think I would recommend a Beval bridle anymore.

You can’t go wrong with edgewood; I also really like my 5 star tack bridle

I really think it’s a hard find now. My favorite major brand is Devoucoux and Dyon but I have always loved Edgewood. I feel they are the only company that has not downgraded their leather. I HATE plastic leather and tack is really the only splurge I do. You will always get quality with Edgewood.

@vangus19 where did you purchase yours from? Their website? Trying to research it and find out pricing! I’m also having a hard time on their website trying to figure out what one I’m looking at!

Just received the Nunn Finer Milano figure 8 bridle and a Nunn Finer shoulder relief girth, both in beautiful Italian leather. Haven’t oiled them yet, but right out of the box they are heavenly. Probably the best looking bridle I’ve ever had. I don’t know yet if the horse will like it, he needs the cutback crownpiece (big ears) and I’m hoping the Milano’s shaped crown has enough to make him comfy.

Hi- I asked Performance Horse and Rider in Ottawa, Canada to bring it in for me. She liked the bridle so much I believe she’s going to get more in. The Equiline website wasn’t easy to navigate- I don’t think they even have the hunter bridle picture up. PHR has Facebook/Instagram. PM me if you’d like more info
