Hound exercise

This is my horses (coming) 4th season hunting. So for 3 years he has been exposed to hound exercise, cubbing and hunting and generally he’s a 1-2 time a week hunter.

WHY does he NOT remember what hounds are?

FYI he rides out with 2 “dogs” whenever he is not hunting.

I took him out Thurs for hound exercise and AGAIN he was a basket case until he realized it was a bit hot to continue with such shenanigans.

He is a coming 9 OTTB.

At what point will he remember…or will it always be important to go on hound exercise?

I will give him a little bit of credit… It was just the huntsman and whip, no others to give confidence.

But when non horse folk note that he “backs up real well!” He could have shown he had been there and done that!!!

Maybe he does remember, remembers oh so well. . .and is sooo jazzed!

Xeroxchick, maybe…but after a couple of exposures, hound exercises, he is a been there done that type. It is ALWAYS the first hound exercise or two that he has a snit fit over. I do appreciate backwards over upwards to a certain degree, he went beyond that degree. DUDE!!! It’s a Hound!
