Though I’m not from Arizona I have to say that was a good game. Sorry all you Ny peeps, but they deserve it!!! Way to go Mark Grace!!! It’s a good thing he got traded to them!

My roommate cried her eyes out last night when the Yankees lost. I don’t really care too much, but I think it would have been a good thing if they’d won, for the sake of morale in New York.

Well, at least the National League Team won! Great Series! Had to root for the Snakes because of Brenly (former Giant); Williams (former Giant); Coach Chris Speier (former Giant)… You get the picture. And what the heck: They overcame the ex-Cub factor. (The team with the most ex-Cubs is usually doomed to failure.)
(Sulking Giants fan who fees HER team should have been there!)
Go Arizona!!! Although I am thrilled to see the Diamondbacks win, it would have been great for New York if the Yankees had pulled it off. Being from New York and a Mets fan, now living in Arizona, I had no choice but to cheer on the D-Back’s.
Have been a loyal Yankees fan for years, but they have simply won too much in the past, so this year I rooted for the Diamond Backs! It’s great to see a new face on the board, and I am having a wonderful time drilling the local Yankee die-hards today!
WHOO HOO!!! Some of the dorms are wild. Mine has settled down but there was some serious excitment. Granted we are in KY and not AZ, but most people here are a bit tired of the Yankees winning. I mistakenly left the other night thinking that they Dbacks were going to win, then the Yankees came out of nowhere. Then tonight, I was going to leave but a friend convinced me to stay, thank goodness! I would have died had I missed that.

Had to root for the D-backs because the catcher is from my town! I know his brother, very nice people.
What an incredible night! We could even hear the fireworks afterwards at our house, which is on the south side of South Mountain
GO DIAMONDBACKS!

Well, I feel the exact same way!! I too was counting the ex-Giants on the Diamondbacks team and mainly rooting for them for that reason…oh, and because of my parents
I am very happy for Bob Brenly though. I always liked him as a player, and still miss him as a Giants announcer. He’s just an all around good guy. And Matt Williams as well. Oh well, there’s always next year for us (but probably without Barry)…

What a team that truly seems to be a team. Schilling was a hoot after the game and to have he and Johnson share the MVP, well they are great!
So how did I get stuck cheering for a team that is SNAKES??? Wasn’t it bad enough I had to go through college cheering for the “Fighting Ducks”? Now there is an oxymoron for you.

I am SO pumped! I live in AZ, and love the Diamondbacks!!! Jerry Colangelo is a great guy. I’m happy for him.
My one claim to fame…
Randy Johnson and I use the same gas station! I see him every once in a while in the mornings. He drives up in a black Hummer with Chrome wheels, and pumps his own gas! Man o Man is he HUGE!!!
He bummed a case of Red Bull from a soda delivery guy once. I suppose he paid for it, but he just went over to the guy and started talking to him and the next thing I see, is the truck driver going to the back of the truck and taking out a case of Red Bull and handing it to Randy! I guess he likes the stuff…
That was the most exciting game I have ever watched! I almost chewed my perfectly sculpted nails off!

I’m aging like fine wine…I’m getting complex and fruity…
As a Yankee fan I will admit that this has been great series regardless of the outcome.
To those D’backs fans enjoy your year of shining brightly, I just hope you don’t become the next Florida Marlins
I’m thrilled for my parents, who live in Arizona and are major D-back fans. It was really fun talking to them after the game, they were so excited about it.
Congratulations to Curt Schilling, Bob Brenly, Luis Gonzalez, Mark Grace and all the rest of the team for a wonderful victory, and to the Yankees as well, for their heart and tenacity.
