How are Wolkentanz ii offspring to ride?

I always admired this stallion. I know he’s no longer breeding so I wasn’t sure whether to post this under dressage or sport horse breeding.

What are they like to ride? How are gaits under saddle? Personality? Trainability? would love to hear insights from trainers and owners who have them.

I have a friend that has two - both geldings, full siblings, and loves them both, although they have different temperaments. One is quite a bit hotter than the other. Both have good gaits, but I think the hotter one is a little better. She shows them both in dressage and her scores are quite good.

I owned a daughter and she didn’t much like dressage. Had various physical issues, got those worked out, then put her with a hunter/jumper trainer and she took to that like a duck to water…then she tore her ddft. She had a strong temperament and was fine with a confident rider but took advantage of any show of nervousness on the part of the rider. She had a GREAT canter and a lovely trot.

Depends as much on the dam, surely?

Willesdon of course the dam plays a role, and likely a larger one, but I still think this is a valid question. I have bred and raised several horses and the ones with the same sire in common did have some similar traits.

Thanks Iberian Fan! That is awesome that you knew three! Can you describe more about how your mare took advantage of her rider? For example, did she get spooky, strong in bridle, go behind leg… ? So sorry to hear about her injury.

She would spook with me, but not with anyone else. She was very green when I got her and I got help getting her more miles under saddle, but she would still spook with me…She was a beautiful mare with good gaits.
