How are your Shadow trailers holding up?

I saw one for sale locally for a very good price and it appears to check all of the boxes at a price significantly cheaper than I would expect to pay. I was looking at aluminum stock trailers since the price increase for windows over slats is usually crazy. I’ve seen some reviews here but they were several years old.

This is a BP 2H slant load, drop down windows on head side, small dressing room, all aluminum. 7’6" height. New $10,990.

What are other brands running for this kind of trailer? It’s so hard to find prices online!

I don’t know if the link is allowed but I’ll let the mods decide

We love ours looks just like the one above. 2 horse slant load, bumper pull with a dressing room. So easy to hook up, easy to haul, easy to load/unload the horses.

Great trailer, great price. We also looked at featherlights, kingstons- way more expensive. Had a few more bells and whistles but the structures and the way they were made were comparable.

My Shadow is ten years old and doing great! I just had the loading lamp replaced, and one window knob broke off about a month ago, that’s it for issues (besides regular maintenance and horse-induced damage!). My ramp closes easily, windows don’t leak, wood floor is in great shape.

I am thinking of getting a new trailer with a bigger tack room, and I probably won’t even bother looking at other brands. I’ll just work with Shadow again.

Are the stalls roomy enough for a larger horse?

Great to hear! Thank you.

I’m a little late with this post but have to say I LOVE my Shadow. I have a 2+1 with living quarters. Beautiful, pulls, great. Great lights inside & out. Lots of room. Without a doubt, the coolest trailer I’ve ever had as it is fully insulated including the ceiling. Large windows. Great brakes.
Friend has a 2+1 with dressing room that she’s hauled thru 3 trucks now so trailer probably has well over 200,000 miles on it & no problems with it. These trailers are a great value. Well made.

Thanks! My plan is to check out this trailer and take a bunch of photos. I’m hoping there’s a good turnout of horse trailers at the PA farm show to compare the quality. So far I haven’t heard any concrete horrible reviews.

I love my shadow. I bought it a year ago. It is a two horse bumper pull slant load step up. It has the drop down windows on one side and open on the other (works great in the south). It has a tackroom with a wall that can open all the way up if I want to use it to haul hay or something. My horses fit just fine in it and everything has been wonderful.
