Click on the red user name on top left it will take you to where you can change email. That password doesn’t work to log in here on forums. Well at least not for me

@tazycat Are you saying that the system is not accepting the same password you use to log in via the forums’ area up in the main log-in at the upper left?
They’ve created a universal log-in system, where your email address or forums username SHOULD work with one password to log you into the site, regardless of which entry point you use.
If that’s not the case, please let me know.

No system isnt eccepting password from the login on upper left. Get incorrect password or user name. Passwords are the same so doesn’t make sense. The password for main log in at upper left keeps switching back to another password. Tried logging in from there today using email won’t let me.
@tazycat Thank you for the explanation. Could you try clicking on your username from the upper left log in area, then re-entering and confirming your same password you’re using now to see if that helps? Then I’ll report the results of the experiment to the tech crew. Also, can you tell me, without sharing your actual password, how many characters it has? (You can PM me if you prefer.)

I confirmed current password and it goes right back to other password. I’ll PM the number of characters to you.

How do you know it’s reverting to another password? You enter and confirm a new password, and it accepts it. Then when you try to log on it doesn’t work?
Then you try your old password and it does work?
When I go back to log in it won’t let me says incorrect user name or password. I re type current password and I can then log in.
I’ve tried re setting password now several times and then i’m unable to log in.
I’ll get a screen shot of what its showing after re setting of password. Will be tomorrow morning when I’m on main computer.
Weird. Let’s try one of two things. I can enter a new password for you under your account settings behind the scenes and you can log in with that and then try to change it and see if it “sticks.”
or, if you don’t mind telling me the actual password you want to use (totally understand if you don’t want to divulge that, but some people don’t care and it will save you a step), you can PM or email me that information, then I can enter that directly into the system and you can test it.
Also, while you’re at it, please send me your email address that you’re using to log in, so I can make sure that’s correct. There might be something wonky going on with linking your forums account and main account if they’re associated with different email addresses.
Let me know your preference re: the password. Sorry for the trouble!

@tazycat The system blocks out the passwords that are entered with a standard number of asterisks, so the number of ***** in the password field doesn’t necessarily correlate with the password that is entered there. Does that explain any of the issues you’re having?
@Moderator 1 Yes that makes sense,i was a bit confused as to why it never showed there was a change. I understand now. Thank you for all the help, sorry for causing you extra trouble.
@tazycat No problem. The first time I visited that screen, I was wondering what password was in those fields too, because there were so many asterisks!

Good on desktop computer log in works on both log in at upper left and on main forum site
Phone i’m logged out on by mistake, and now i can’t log back in. Keyboard disappears and won’t come back up to type password in. Can login on other sites no issue from phone, i tested it out thinking it was a phone problem, but it’s not because it works fine on other sites.
Think this was mentioned in one of the other threads about New site Glitch and problem reporting ,or was other thread General feed back on new site.
Had trouble before but got logged in, now i can’t even get keyboard to appear long enough to type password in. Keep clicking on the password box and keyboard will blink in and out but won’t stay. I know glitch’s are being worked on hate to bring up yet another issue. Thank you,for all you do on here.
Hate to be the bear of bad news,but i changed my password earlier today it worked to log in once. And it didn’t work here when i tried to log in again. It did change back to my old password typed in old password and got logged in. New password doesn’t work.
