How can I find pics of my OTTB?

I recently adopted an OTTB and would be interested in seeing pictures of him during his racing days. But I dont know where to start! I’ve been to the track websites and couldnt find a link to take me to anything that would help. He has raced several different tracks, all in Texas. Lone Star Park, Retama Park, and Sam Houston Race Park. He has only won twice, and i dont know if they’d have pictures of only his winnings or of him in all the races. If anyone knows anything on how I can find him in pictures, please let me know

You would need to contact the track photographer with the date, number of the race and name of the horse. They’d only have win pictures, though it might be possible, if he was in the money and it was a close finish, that he appears in some other photos.

But how would I know who the track photographer is? Would it be on the website somewhere?

Just google the racetrack name, get a phone number, call and ask for the track photographer. They will have their own office/extension. Good luck!

This tread seems to be dated but this question comes up a lot.

In the upper right hand corner where it says “horse name” enter your horse’s name and click search. When your horse comes up scroll down and click on “results” this will take you to all of the race result charts for you horse. Click on the one that he won. This will give you the track, race and date of the race. Call the race track and ask for the track photographer and ask for a win picture for the your horse by giving the name, date and race number.

You can also order winning race videos. Videography is a separate dept from photogrsphy at most racetracks. You need the same info as for photos.

Note a person is only in those depts on race days during a live meet. However if your horse won say at Lone Star which ended in July the closest track with a live meet may employ some of the same photogrsphers/videographers. If not, racetrackers are a pretty clise knit group and they can most likely provide you with contact info.

Thank you Gumtree for the information… I started reading this thread cause I was wondering the same thing on my mare.

I am putting together a coallach (spelling?) of pictures and videos of my OTTB mare who has won many championships in the Jumper ring and was ranked 4th in our Zone in adult Jumpers. She was 5 yrs. old. I’m wanting to start out with a video of her racing then go to her jumping back to her in the winner race picture then to a photo of her with her High Point Jumper Cooler on, etc, etc. it will be about 2 mins. long.

JC name was Indian River. And I do want to mention her trainer Juan Arriagada did a wonderful job with her. She is a joy to work with.
