I have my thoroughbred gelding’s Jockey Club registration papers and a bill of sale from the last owner on record. I have heard that all registrations are made with a foal picture… Is this so? How do I go about getting a copy from the JC? Has anyone been able to do this successfully? I had a couple pleasant convrsations some time ago with his breeder, who said she would send me some of his foal pix, but then she fell off the map and I never got any… I really want a baby picture!

Bump.
I think it’s probably a bit of a longshot, but you can call the JC and ask: http://home.jockeyclub.com/
(I’d try the Registry in Lexington.)
Well, the last time I registered one it required photos from all four angles.
I contacted the breeder when I wanted to get photos of my horse. They emailed several photos the same day! I was quite impressed!!!
