What is on the “scary” side are the severe bugs that are unknown until the right set of circumstances occur to drive the code through a path that hasn’t previously been executed in quite that way. That’s potentially when the driverless car has the crash :eek:

yeah I used to field test beta versions of firmware used in access control devices… usually had to drag programmer out into the real world so they can see and feel the wind blowing which they overlooked when writing the code for the chip and that it is not 72 degrees all the time outside as it is at their desk
