I have PM’d the mods asking this question twice in the last 2 weeks and no answer. I’ve searched and checked the FAQ’s and obviously am not good lookin enuff.
Any idea how to delete this membership?

I’ve often wondered the same thing. I looked around and couldn’t find any information concerning this either. Apparently one is not able to delete oneself–kind of like an equine Hotel California (“you can check out any time you like, but you can never leave!”).
Hopefully a moderator will come to our aid…
Was it something someone said???
Hotel California… hahaha… you’re cracking me up!
Thanks for the morning laugh!!!
I would say just stop using the account… I can’t speak for Erin but I’m an admin on another board and we do not like to delete accounts because it usually also deletes their posts. Then you are left with a bunch of threads that sometimes don’t make sense.
Erin has posted a few times that if you create a handle and are done with it to email her and she will delete that account.
I believe she said that lots of inactive accounts build up and “clog” the board, slowing it down.
No, actually what I do is combine multiple accounts into one.
We don’t remove accounts because then any posts made by that account appear as “guest” (or maybe get deleted entirely, I forget) and as furlong said, it makes threads more difficult to read and makes searches more difficult. The only accounts I delete are the alters for secret santa and stuff like that, because nobody goes back to read the SS threads later, so missing posts don’t matter.
If you don’t want to be a member of COTH anymore, basically, you just stop posting. And you can delete your own posts if you want.
Erin, what you said to me in your email and is very useful in this situation, is to go into my user CP and delete all contact information. So thanks.
“Hotel California” that cracked me up!
