How important is color matched tack?

I don’t think it matters! Just as long as its not a bright orange bridle/martingale or girth. Ughhhhhhhhhhhhh oil people. (especially on a dark horse. I squirm)

Its REALLY important. I feel sorry for your horse. All the other horses in matching tack at the shows will laugh at him and call him an outcast.

This is the perspective we needed here. So sad that the horse is so often forgotten in these very important debates…

I don’t know why any of you even bother to respond to EquitationDiva, obviously just trying to cause trouble and has no idea what she’s talking about. I’m sure she cant post anything nearly as fabulous as goodlife’s photo, she probably doesn’t even show.

Drat! My poor mare will just never be the same if her peers don’t think the highest of her!

I really appreciate all the replies guys! The tack matching doesn’t bother me and I’m glad to know that it won’t bother the judge either. Plus it turns out the bridle fits my mare quite well and she seems to enjoy it much better than my old Wintec.

As for EQDiva, I think I might smell a troll?

Those poor horses, people never stop to realize that they’re being mocked too!
I feel like horses probably have the same show drama we do, the cocky imports and the dumb ditzy ponies etc.

No, just the dark brown/Havana coloured Antares.

ETA: @ParadoxFarm, yes that’s me and my (17hh) pony. She’s the best.[/QUOTE]

Awesome. You two make a great pair.

EqDiva can’t help herself. She is at that stage where she thinks she’s got this lock, stock, and barrel, and the rest of us are just a bunch of idjits who can’t tell our arses from our elbows and need her help to fit in at the shows we’ve been going to since before she was in pull-ups. Take a look at some of her other posts. It’s a trend. She just can’t seem to step far, far away from the keyboard and take a look at the world beyond Wellington (if that is, in fact, where she lives…).

As for matchy matchy tack, if you have it, great, if not, I promise the world won’t end

My jumpers wear mismatched tack all the time, who cares?

I do always try to match my bridle to reins and martingale for the hunters though.

I do show, and I do know what I’m talking about. You’re just jealous. [edit]

Don’t hit the water main on your way digging that hole ED - You sure showed your age on that one and that’s a swift way to be banned, which actually wouldn’t be a bad thing… for us at least.

Ohhh noo she didn’t!

Shush shush It’s been a while since we’ve had [someone] give us a little fun.

Let’s all refrain from the personal commentary, etc. and refocus on the main topic. We’ve addressed an earlier inappropriate post with the poster and any further issues going forward will be addressed according to our moderation policies.

Thanks!

You would be surprised to learn no one will say anything to you about a bright orange something that might be used on a horse every day  I borrow a matching one from my trainer when I show… I can’t fathom replacing a perfectly good piece of schooling tack just because its ugly…
