I will be watching the whole jumper series but I don’t know in which stadium it will be held. Since I read you have to walk alot, I wanted to know how long it took to walk from the main gate/entrance to the Jumper stadium so I can organize my arriving schedules accordingly…
Also, does anyone have a fair guess on how long it can take to get from downtown Lexington to Kentucky Horse Park during the games? I know there will be much traffic so I guess it will take longer than usual…
I will be renting a car from Oct 7th till the 10th but I heard parking at KHP is way expensive. I would guess it is best to leave the car at my hotel (Sheraton Four Points, 2mls from KHP) and take some other transport there. Does anyone know what transportation I can take from the Sheraton or downtown Lex to KHP? Public or private shuttle?

I only know what I’ve read on the website and from being at the park many times. You can find a map under VENUE and parking/bus info under VISITORS. The jumping stadium is the new outdoor stadium, by the lake. Organizers are claiming nothing is more than a 15 minute walk from anything. I would guess that would be once you are actually inside the park. It is a hike from the onsite parking. Last time I was there I had my bike. Going to be missing it this time.
Your hotel may have a shuttle. If not, they should have a clue and/or plan. There will be buses running constantly between downtown and the horse park.
Parking at WEG is $20/day. The hotel shuttle is $15/person/day. So if there are two or more of you in your party, you’re money ahead taking your car. Once you get to the main parking lot (at Spycoast Farm, just down the road from KHP), a shuttle will take you into the park.
Jumping is held in the main stadium (now known as Rolex Stadium), which is about a 10 minute walk from where the shuttle buses drop you off.
***IF YOU WANT THE SHUTTLE, ONLY CERTAIN HOTELS SELL TICKETS; THE DRIVER DOES NOT SELL THEM. ASK AT THE HOTEL (SHERATON HAS A VOLUNTEER FROM LEXINGTON CONVENTION & VISITORS BUREAU THERE. ASK WHERE TO GET THE TICKETS(ACTUALLY A WRISTBAND YOU WEAR).
