And here I thought Henry the 8th was the one to set up weights, lengths and measures. His was the hand (4 inches) width used to measure horse height. His was the origin of the foot (12 inches) measure. His right hand index finger (middle knuckle) set the size for an inch. And I think the length from his nose to tip of middle finger was a yard. These along with other sizings he decreed, made up common use measurements that he put into public usage to keep people more honest in commercial transactions.

The video is great though! Never thought to use grains as measurements! I would not recognize a barley corn if I saw one!!
