How much did you Ariat Heritage Contour boots stretch?

I know there was a similar topic about boot fit and breaking in recently, but I was hoping to get some feedback on this particular model - the elastic panels make me worried about about a lot of stretching happening down the road. My last pair of pull on Ariats stretched about a size in the calf and feel/look ridiculous.

I can go with either:

Slim - zips up comfortably but snug, looks perfect, if they never stretched they’d be an ideal fit. With stretching, I’m worried they’ll get baggy.

Extra slim - ankle fits better, can zip 3/4 way up easily, just over sock, no breech. Worried about breaking zipper before they’ve stretched too much.

Any Heritage owners care to chime in? It would be very appreciated! If they we’re pull ons I’d go with the xslim and go the bathtub route, but I’ve never owned zip boots before, and am apprehensive. I want them to fit like a glove.

Thanks in advance!

Mine haven’t stretched much. But they have probably only been used maybe 6 months of that time. These were my first pair of zip up boots also. I think I have the slim calf which fit snug when I got them. Not enough that they didn’t fit but I figured that they WOULD stretch so I didn’t worry about it too much. I’ve also started working out and it’s a little hard to get them zipped up the last inch or so and my left one has slid down while riding if I can’t get it high enough. When I take them off my legs hurt because they fit so tightly. And they are not comfortable enough to spend a lot of time walking around in! They rub my ankle if I do. When I’m not riding I tend to have them unsnapped and unzipped a couple inches. That probably isn’t good for them but it makes wearing them more bearable! Cutting off the circulation aside I do like them. I like the way they make the leg look and they seem well made. If they had had the brown ones when I bought mine (which were in her book but not actually available and now they have brown ones but they are more of a reddish brown and these were a really pretty dark reddish brown) I would have bought those or both pairs!

Mine went from very snug to perfect in about two weeks. I rode in them almost every day. At first I could feel the pulse in my calves, and I questioned whether or not I’d be able to feel my feet after a few hours of wear.

I haven’t done anything other than keeping them clean and wearing them often, and they’ve dropped very slightly and fit like a glove now. I haven’t been wearing them for long, but they don’t feel like they’ll stretch and be too big. The elastic is fairly tough and firm, not the soft stretchy stuff.

Mine went from “could only zip up halfway” to perfect in a week of daily wear. I have had them for a month now, and hope they will drop a teeny bit more (like, maybe half an inch), but they aren’t painfully tall, just a bit annoying with certain pants.

But because I got them in the GORGEOUS Sienna Brown, I clean them after every use to keep that amazing colour looking its best. Then again, I am super anal about ALL my leather, so cleaning them after every use isn’t unusual for me, haha!
