we pay by the hour, with the expectation that the task will take xx time… If it takes longer than that, then there needs to be a justifiable reason. So we pay 15/hr for stalls, turnout/in, feeding, and pasture picking/dragging. Our guys is part time, and does the horses in addition to a full time job. It works out to about 2.5-3 hrs a day for 10-12 horses, only 6 of who have any significant stall time.
