so I have started threads before, but how do you make one with a poll? I check the poll option, but it doesn’t do anything (like for me to insert my options) so what next?
After you click the “add a poll” box (which you’ve already found) and specify the number of possible poll responses you’d like to include, submit the thread like you normally would. Then it takes you to a screen where you can add the poll questions and possible responses.
Does seem to be a leap of faith for it to be set up that way!
Let me know if that doesn’t work for you. Thanks for asking!
ok, I kind of guessed it maybe worked that way, but didn’t want to try it & have some “delete this” thread. Thanks.
When I have the time, I want to compile a more comprehensive “user’s guide” to the BB features because I don’t think you’re alone in not being sure of how some tools work!
I have the luxury of testing things out behind the scenes.
Something for the “to do” list!
Related question: how can you edit the poll questions/options AFTER it’s posted? I tried edit/advanced but don’t see where it lets me into the poll items.
If you started the thread/poll yourself, I think there should be an “edit poll” link in the upper right-hand corner of the box that has the poll in it when you open the thread.
I could just be seeing that due to my mod “super powers” however, so hopefully a poll starter out there will verify that!
