If I want to quote something (other than a whole post), is there a way to do it other than raw markup language (

)? What about Bold?

Janet if you hit post reply or quote instead of quick reply you can either hit ctrl I/B/U and the code appears automatically let’s see if it really works though or you can click on the B/I/U on the upper left of the posting box edited to add: I think the only reason your’s didn’t work was because of the [B]space between the[ symbol and the / at the end [ /b]
this is so much fun playing with a new bb and I know NOTHING about computers Hah! my mom’s drowning her biochem exam blues in guinness and I’m trying to get my hooves on her debit card.
ahem
Anyhow, I just click on quote and then highlight what I don’t want to re-post and delete it. There has to be a simpler way though. What do you do?
Being one of the rules gurus, what I frequently want to do is to quote text out of the rule book.
I don’t see any B/I/U on the “upper left of the posting box”.
ctrl b offers to organize my favorites
ctrl i brings up history
ctrl u doesn’t seem to do anything.
If you go to the UserCP link above on the light blue strip. Then go to “Edit options” on the menu to the left. Then scroll to the bottom with the Misc. Options and choose the last option on the drag down menu. Then click the “Save Changes” button below.
Once you do that, when you come back all the little text editing buttons should appear and make it easy to just click it.
It says it depends on your browser, but I’ve tested it with both IE and Firefox and they look great.
Yes! and the little smilies, too!
Wow:yes:
Thank you Souris:D

Ok, so I figured out how to quote, not sure if it will work for the “rulebook” quote thingie too or not. There is a little box that looks like a baloon-you know, like in the cartoons, where the words are surrounded by a baloon? you just highlight the text you want and click on the ballon and it will wrap quote tags around it for you. if the stuff you want to quote is from another window, just copy it to your clipboard, click on the balloon and paste inbetween the quote tags.
Today’s weather conditions at Timberline, from www.skitimberlinelodge.com:
Another inch of fresh snow overnight, we have a base total just shy of 200 inches!! Come on up and take some turns, today promises to be an epic snow day, skies are clearing and the snow is awesome, this is one you don’t want to miss - we are open from 9am - 10pm, so come on up!!
Just testing quote feature…
I used to be able to highlight what I wanted as a quote by left clicking and dragging the cursor and then right clicking on it and hit “copy” then put the cursor where I wanted it in the new message, right click, and hit “paste”. Old Windows stuff done in 3 seconds. (by the way still the easiest way to post a link) The previous version would automatically put it in as a Quote. In other words, really simple and fast. Not sure this newer method is any easier.
