I belong to a few tack groups on Facebook. Ever since Facebook changed to the new “Marketplace” format, the way I used to successfully search for items no longer works.
Can someone walk me through how to search a Facebook Tack Group for a particular item? Whatever I’m doing is clearly not working!
If there’s a magic way to do it on mobile, I haven’t found it. However, it works like it used to on my laptop.
Huh, that is interesting. I use FB solely on my mobile. Maybe that is why it’s causing me so much trouble.
It seems broken in the app. If you navigate to the group and tap the magnifying glass in the upper right to search, it looks like it’s going to search the group. But when the results come up it’s as if you searched all of Marketplace. It does still work correctly on the computer. If you don’t have access to a computer you could try viewing Facebook through your phone’s browser rather than the app, and if necessary use the browser settings to view the desktop version of the site instead of mobile version.
Yes! That’s exactly it! You described exactly the problem I have when I use the search function in the app. Good to know it still works on the computer. I will have to dig out my ancient laptop and try that.
