I just finished watching the last of the jumping (I watched the 3 day event too) in the Paris Olympics and I had so much fun. Already having withdrawals lol
Are other jumping competitions televised? Or do I really have to wait 4 more years?
TV doesn’t have a ton regularly, other than the KY 3 day in the spring, and the MD 5* is televised here in MD on MPT.
If you have a USEF membership, they have livestreams almost every week of a show somewhere. There’s a low-priced “fan” membership type that basically just gives you streaming access. Most of their streaming is via ClipMyHorse, which also does streaming of other events, and can also be subscribed to for things from all around the world.
I love ClipMyHorse! I pay around $20 a month and basically have live jumping whenever I want — and loads on demand. You definitely won’t have a shortage of things to watch.
Do you want to watch current or live stuff? Or do you just want to watch various competitions?
USEFnetwork and FEI tv have tons of classes on YouTube for free. Anything from GPs and JHF to UL XC or the 2’6" Olympics at WEF. Lots of old stuff, plenty of recent stuff too.
I have the channels running on my laptop at work to keep it from auto-locking. I’ve watched all the Nation’s Cups and most of the recent GPs at WEF, plus derby finals and pony finals .
I’d like to watch current stuff as it comes out, but also don’t mind watching past stuff
Thunderbird and Desert Horse Park have livestreams! I am glued to the TV all Desert Circuit. Tbird only shows the GP ring, but DIHP show all rings.

DIHP:

I will second a subscription to ClipMyHorse. They have so many shows in Europe and the US, many with great commentary. For me, it’s a business tool so I can research horses we may be interested in. But it’s also fun to stream Saturday night lights at WEF in the winter or Aachen in the summer.
My ClipMyHorse sub is worth every penny. I watch something every weekend.
Thanks everyone for the suggestions, I didn’t want to wait 4 years!
WEC also has a livestream, and they are competing now
ClipMyHorse also has excellent educational content. Henrik von Eckermann did a clinic with a group of amateurs. It was really eye-opening as someone who has bought a few horses that were owned by amateurs in Europe. Like oh that’s why you crawl in the corners and expect to be gunned coming out of them. But there’s tons of content on feeding practices, exercises, etc. Just that alone has been valuable. But yes of course, all the shows are awesome and it is so easy to look up individual rounds.
The show calendar on World of Showjumping
is the best place to find a Schedule, Results and Live TV* of almost all shows.
*Most of the time the TV link will direct you to ClipMyHorse
The Hampton Classic Horse Show starts in about two weeks. They usually have a livestream on their website for both rings. It’s always been free to view in the past. ClipMyHorse is nice because they aggregate a lot of livestreams. Otherwise you just have to poke around, or ask here to find others, many of which will be free to view.
Ohhhh, I’ll have to find this, as a fellow importer of amateur horses who charge like bulls out of the corners.
I’m not sure if it’s still free streaming, but a few years ago I regularly watched the Global Champions League competitions online.
If you go to the “Live” tab on their YouTube channel you can see past videos (and perhaps an actual live feed at some point):
At some point in recent years, they brought in an over-exuberant gentleman for play by play and that made my interest wane. Let’s just say that when people here complain about Lucinda, Melanie, and Randy in the Olympics coverage, calling for BBC or NBC to replace them … “well, it’s the devil you know…”
Late to the party but… like many, I live on CMH. I have it on in the background whenever I’m doing household chores or work I don’t have to pay strict attention to.
But also, someone upthread mentioned YouTube – in addition to older stuff and recent replays, you can also find livestreams on “regular” YT (some family members have YouTube Live so I’m in the habit of specifying). I’ve seen classes from WEF live over the winter and, yesterday, Quarter Horses at an NSBA show. Oh, also that Major League Showjumping Tour has streamed live.
And, if you’re ever in the mood for racing, you can see track feeds from odd places on YouTube. America’s Day at the Races and Saratoga Live also stream there when there’s no big broadcast blackout. I bring this up as a cord-cutter with a Sling subscription who otherwise only gets one Fox Sports channel.
Speaking of WEF, the Wellington International website streams select rings for free. I just checked and there’s stuff going on now (Florida in August never crossed my mind, lol). They also have a lot of stuff on demand.
Enjoy!
I have TVG so I can pretty much watch racing whenever I want. I wish a channel for other horse sports existed like that!
Same and same!
Though not sure how I feel about the FanDuel thing but I’m still grateful for it!
I don’t know if it was already talked about but, I just remembered Horse & Country started live-streaming Brave Horse in Ohio and I think maybe one other facility. I was so tempted but I can’t rationalize the time or money for more watch-ables.
