Well I got the email that they removed my previous address, but no offer of 20% off… Not nice! I should have waited…
I did reply again about not giving me the 20% off because I went through the trouble of creating another address just for them, which makes me check TWO addresses each time… ie logging off and on …
Wow. I’m not paying $44+ to FEITV for the few hours I might watch. Over half their annual fee just to watch some WEG. nope:no:
I am home so I can watch pretty much when I want and what I want…but yes, price gouging at its best!
There are a couple of websites having contests where you can win a year’s subscription to FEI TV. The two I know of are Horse Nation and StreamHorseTV. Deadline for the StreamHorseTV.com contest is midnight tonight, and the Horse Nation deadline is Friday morning.
It was much easier to find the contest and rules on the StreamHorseTV.com page, than on the Horse Nation page, so if you don’t get to enter the StreamHorseTV contest on Thursday, you can always try Horse Nation early Friday. Maybe some of us will win. Good luck!
StreamHorseTV.com tweeted that they had a winner last night. They also tweeted that they will be giving away more one-year FEI TV subscriptions. I checked Horse Nation and they have not updated their story about it, so I don’t know if there is still time to enter.
For StreamHorseTV, they announced the contest on their Facebook page and Tweeted about it, so “liking” or “following” may be the way to hear about upcoming giveaways.
A friend of mine sent me the Horse Nation link via a newsletter and on their contest site you had to subscribe to a newsletter, or send them an email saying you already were a subscriber.
I never win contests, so I am now the proud owner of a one-year FEI TV subscription which I signed up for yesterday. I’m looking forward to watching the games. I went to some of the events when it was in Lexington last time.
So they finally put my subscription under my original email… but no discount… boo…I guess I should have written first. Lesson learned! Ready to start watching tomorrow. I know I will be homesick!
It probably won’t help now, but you could write back, and explain the trauma you have been through, and they did it unasked for several friends…
as my mom says ‘Take a chance, Columbus did’
I had mentioned it in one of my emails…but nothing… that’s fine… they won’t keep me as a subscriber anyway.
How quickly do they put the rides into the archives? I’m in California, so not getting up at midnight to watch it live on FEI TV.
I can’t believe they just changed the monthly subscription rate from $14.99 to $44.99!!!
:mad::mad::mad:
Wish CoTH would write an article about that!

It’s just typical… just like hotels in Lex jacked up their prices 4 years ago…
I can easily understand them doing that. In the next two weeks, a viewer will most likely watch three times what he or she would normally watch on FEI TV. The upcharge is just for this time period. Sad, but they were probably trying to make money.

Yes but its one thing when people that have nothing to do with the sport do that, quite another when FEI does it to equestrian fans.
I’m not going to pay $44.99 not because of the $ but because its the principle of the thing. Just like I don’t shop at Walmart, Hobby Lobby, etc. I won’t support FEI TV with my money when they are sticking it to loyal fans.

Normally in two or three weeks , and mostly only highlights from the top 5 riders.

FEI TV has just changed the cost for WEG month to $44.99; after this it’s the usual 14.99 per month.

A full year is still $80.[/QUOTE]
Wait, FEI charges your card automatically each month for the subscription. Are you telling me that they just tripled the price and are gonna charge my card for the next month with out asking if I approve of this drastic increase?
A friend of mine with a year’s subscription is trying to find out how they will charge people who have already subscribed. My guess is that they won’t hit anyone with the extra charge because it would be an accounting nightmare. Lots more work to find all theses credit cards, do the up charge for just one month and then change it back. Let’s hope that’s the case.
Step 1: Choose Your Subscription Type
€15.99 : 24 hours full access to FEI TV for €15.99
€32.99 : Access to FEI TV for €32.99 a month, repeating at €11.99 a month until cancelled
€59.99 : Annual Subscription
Access to FEI TV for €59.99 a year, repeating at €59.99 a year until cancelled
SQUEE I found it! I can watch FEI through You Tube! At least I was able to watch a few promos. Can I watch the competition on TV or thru computer? The sound is AWFUL on this laptop/
FEI are showing all the Dressage
Opening ceremonies have started! Is anyone watching?
