How's State Line Tack these days...?

These folks have a good deal on a fly sheet set I’m going to order from somewhere.

Anyone have recent experience pro/con dealing with State Line Tack?

Thanks!

I order from them from time to time, nothing but good experiences. Don’t love paying shipping, but things are almost always on sale, so it averages out I think. I had to get a new xc vest this year, bought from SL and got a free $45 gc for future use! Redeaming it was easy- so that was great!

I recently bought a calmer from SL. The issue was a shipping one. I got no where with UPS and USPS. I called SL and got an answer and a delivery date. The customer service was very good.

I usually buy my Country Vet mister refills and fly traps from them. Never have a problem.

I’ve ordered a few pairs of breeches from them over the last year or so, because they had good deals. No problems, stuff showed up pretty quickly.

I’ve been ordering Tri-Amino from them for a couple years and no problems. Also recently ordered a girth and set of exercise boots. They have some really good prices. Haven’t had to deal with their customer service, so can’t comment on what might happen if you have an issue.

regarding flysheets …we have learned to repair the rips inflected by using mesquite netting… the Golden Wonder Boy yearling has a knack for destruction… one rip looked like the hull damage to the Titanic

Hull damage to the Titanic
That gave me the giggles.

I’ve used STL quite a bit this Spring with no issues.

I just ordered a ton of fly control products from them, and they were about $50 cheaper than 2-3 other retailers I priced the order with. The order arrived on time with no issues.

I’ve ordered supplements with no problems.

Thanks for the info/ COTH always comes through…!

Ordered twice in the past month and both orders arrived quickly without issue. I prefer to order from Riding Warehouse but the items I needed (Shoo Fly Leggins) aren’t available there.

The other great thing about State Line is the bulk order prices. I was looking for new grooming tools for a lesson program, and they had decent quality brushes for very little money. I think I ended up ordering about 10 complete grooming kits for around $50. The shipping was very quick as well.

They seem to be the same site as horse.com which frequently has free shipping discounts. I order from horse.com at least once per month and haven’t had any major problems with them

They are owned by the same company. That is why things look the same.

I usually order from them about once per year because there always seems to be something they have the best price on!

Always positive experiences.

Random hijack question: does anyone know if their headquarters has an open warehouse/store these days? I was up in NePA the other weekend, where all the tack companies seem to be housed out of anymore. I was debating swinging by their HQ to see if they had a “store” of any sorts, but couldn’t find any information online.

Ordered a saddle on Christmas and they sort of forgot about it, which is understandable with the holiday. As soon as I sent them a reminder it was shipped same day. Other than that no problems, although I don’t use them often because I kind of insist on free shipping unless it’s something (like the saddle) impossible to find elsewhere.

I just ordered a couple of things and it was a very pleasant experience. I even got 30% off my order and free shipping.

We ordered fly spray & hoof products a short while back on a 25% off sale. The fly spray bottle cap came off in shipping and the fly spray drenched the order, causing UPS to throw out the shipment. State Line called us to let us know there was a problem, replaced the entire order, taped the caps and bagged up the fly spray before boxing it, and got it to us within days. Great experience.
