Just got a second refund from Hufglocken…this time for the oldest order. 1 more to go…but at least they are processing the refunds so far.

I got both of my refunds for my 2 orders.
Another update…I now have all my refunds…did not have to do a dispute (just sent the initial message through PayPal). I am still so bummed about the whole process…I didn’t mind waiting…but waiting since August and now not having anything I ordered is disappointing.
I just received my refunds. I did have to initiate a dispute through PayPal after multiple emails to Hufglocken customer service where they assured me the refunds would be processed and they weren’t. Once I started the process through PayPal they went through in about a week.
No idea what the full story is, but it’s disappointing and very poorly handled by Hufglocken.
I’m still waiting on a pair of dressage boots that I bought at the end of November. I have contacted them several times. The last e-mail stated that they are supposed to be in at the end of March. I am pretty frustrated…I probably won’t ever buy from them again. They are so slow!
Ughhh I am dealing with Hufglocken’s nonsense and not sure what to do next.
I placed an order for two custom pads in August of last year, which were delayed (of course, but I kind of expected that) and supposedly shipped in December (magically when I sent an email asking what the status was).
They took a month to arrive in the US then bounced around Florida for a month. I reached out again and apparently the package had some issue so I had to go to USPS, who said the label was incorrect. Hufglocken denied that and said if it didn’t come soon they would send a refund.
The refund never came, so I have been emailing back and forth with them. They say they sent it - obviously I would know if I had a $400 refund and I do not (it’s been like three weeks so there has been enough time). So, now they have told me to dispute it with my credit card company. CC company will not as it is about a month too far in the past.
Hufglocken now won’t answer any me. Any thoughts on next steps? I will never order from them again.
Oh, wow, that really sucks. If you haven’t made a huge stink with both, I would.
Have you showed your credit card company the back and forth with Hufglocken?
I’m in the same boat with a non Mattes Hufglocken order. I have purchased from them several times in the past with no issue so I didn’t have a problem ordering a half pad in November with a stocking date of late Dec/early January.
They answered my first inquiry at the end of January with an apology for the delay and an offer to cancel the order which they assured me would be ready to dispatch within the next two weeks. I decided to wait a bit longer which was a mistake.
At end of February I contacted them for tracking and was told again the order would be “ready to dispatch within the next two weeks.” Well, it’s mid March and nothing has changed with my eternally pending backorder. I think the business has bigger issues than the Mattes fallout and my chances of ever seeing that half pad are slim to none.
Unfortunately, yes, I sent everything to Chase and they still will not help since it is so long after the date. It is so frustrating because I trusted Hufglocken to actually make the process “right” due to their reputation/the fact that I have ordered from them before - any other company and I would have submitted the refund request a lot earlier.
Huflgocken just keeps saying that they processed the refund, which is absurd. I assume someone on their side pressed the button in the system to refund it but nothing has happened after that point.
I am kind of done spending time and energy on it, but I definitely recommend anyone against using them. I ordered a replacement custom girth cover from Classic Dressage in the UK instead, and it was shipped exactly when it should be and the price was the same.
