Tamara, I hope you appreciate that most kids that age are not as well disciplined as yours.
it’s funny,my teacher friends said the same thing at the ELEM today…“oh lord are you sure???” I have faith
besides…rest enough of the final grade on it and things go smoother…I think we will also seperate the males from the females for the lesson…half get the barn tour with me and half will be with Calvin in more of a theory class…and then switch them back
it was oked today for a full half day in March…we will develop a topic base with the teachers that they can then repeat it back to the kids…some ideas so far include
land use and abuse
responsible stewardship of a working farm
ag inputs affects on end prduction and land use
and maybe I’ll pop in a little on varmits and “english horsemen”
And I assume some fraction of that crowd is female; if Calvin is sensitive to us middle-aged female hay cusomers, who have some level of self control, (theoretically), oggling him, he’s going to have a loooonnng afternoon with a pack of high school girls.:lol:
nah…he’s too manly for most of them
Seriously, good on you for making the offer to the classes, they will get a tremendous benefit from seeing a serious operation like yours, and being exposed to the knowledge you guys have about issues very relevant to their studies.
Fifth grade was tickled to death as this can open the door for them to make a trip in the spring…we are on a total budget freeze here in the county,so it may mean we have to send buses for them but we are excited about having them as well…
