Hi, I know nothing about hunt tack and I recently got a mare that came with a flat hunt bridle. I can’t find any brand name or anything like that stamped on the bridle but on the cavesson by the holes “FOR THE LONG RUN” is stamped into the leather. I know it’s not the horse’s name but I haven’t found any info. Can anyone help? The leather is very nice and cleaned up beautifully. It is thick, but very supple. I have pictures but I don’t know how to post them…
Long Run Hounds is a hunt in KY, for what it’s worth. Or perhaps the Bridle was a prize for something like a hunter pace.
