My sig other Randy… freshly back from deployment… yay… is looking for a hunt horse to lease for this season. He needs a bomb proof husband horse type… doesn’t need to be fancy… just safe. Middleburg/Warrenton/Leesburg…

First flight horse or second flight horse? Size? To lease by the hunt, or to do a full lease for the season, meaning he gets to ride during the week and pays board, farrier, vet for the duration? Does he have a trailer and plan to haul it himself, or does he expect to pay to haul along with someone else to go hunting?
Second flight. Randy is tall 6’1 or so. I am not sure if he wants to hunt during the the week, but I can find out. No trailer ATM but I have one and will be bringing it east soon. For now he would need it trailered for him. It needs to be quiet and very well broke… but doesn’t need to be the fanciest looking…draft cross fine etc. I think lease by the hunt at first… to see if it’s a good fit… he can take lessons…from someone willing to get him going again. He’s been deployed for the past few years.
I can have him call to give more details. His mare is getting too old to hunt now… so he’s looking for one to start riding again this season… eventually will buy one.
Going rate leasing per hunt is about $200-250/hunt, which includes hauling. Contact Eduardo or Lorena Coria, I think they will have a horse that will be suitable for him.
