Well we finally got our hunt week under way, and over! Around 160 riders from all over NZ, and 4 hunts in 7 days. One tired pack of hounds at the end of it, and they sure deserved their 3 days off afterwards. Horses likewise. Here are a few photos we were given by the official photographer, who just happened to be an old Pony Club friend of mine from many years ago!

What beautiful countryside! It looks as though it was quite warm that day, judging by the short sleeves on the non-riding crowd.
it’s so nice to have a new hunt season to follow, vicariously, now that hunting in the states (or at least in the north) is all but over.
