Hunter Barns in DFW

Hi Everyone!

I’m an adult re-rider who is looking to get in 2-3 rides with possibly a half lease at a decent barn anywhere in DFW/North Dallas area. I moved here last year and don’t really have the time to own, so ideally a half lease would be the best situation for me. I don’t mind traveling, just need a good program with decent horses and a nice environment!

Thanks so much!

There are a bunch of options.

What classes/divisions are you wanting to show? Local or rated? Do you value any specifics in a barn - similar age group lessons? Flexible lesson scheduling? Etc. Where specifically in DFW are you - it’s a big metroplex with a lot of traffic normally. LOL

well you are describing an area that is nearly twice the size of Connecticut … would be helpful to which side or general area you prefer

I have no desire to show in anything higher than the 3ft, and will be comfortable doing the 2’6/modified adults until I get a little stronger. I’m up in North Dallas near McKinney, but like I said I don’t might going to Fort Worth if the barn is worth it!

It would be nice to have late 20 somethings like myself to hangout with, but I just genuinely enjoy being around people in general! I just want genuine instruction and firmness, I don’t necessarily like overly nice trainers, I want to be corrected when I’m wrong and told how to fix it, that’s genuinely a problem I’ve run into.

No crazy requirements, but I just want a safe environment with decent horses and trainers!

Oh I’m fully aware :joy:, but I genuinely don’t mind going the distance if the barn is great. I live up my McKinney, and while it would be nice to stay up that way, it’s not a requirement!

I’ll PM you!
