Hi All -
I have a yearling Irish Sport Horse and am looking to possible take him to some “in hand” shows for show experience and fun. Problem is, I know absolutely nothing about this! Can anyone recommend sources or point me in the right direction to go about doing this? I’m located in MI so hoping there are some options that aren’t too far of a drive.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Just go and watch what is done, go home and practice. It’s not rocket science. You’ll do just fine. You may be a newbie and make some mistakes, but if it isn’t a “world class” horse show, and you don’t mind learning on the go, and are just there for fun and experience for your horse, it won’t matter. Good luck! I’ve done these classes on occasion, just for fun and an outing.
