Hi Everyone! I am moving from Indiana to Temecula CA and am looking for hunter/jumper barns in the area. I am looking for a trainer who competes in the “A” Circuit and is experienced with selling and purchasing high performance horses. I currently compete in the Low Junior/Amateur jumpers and desire to advance to the upper levels. The barns I have found include Susan Hutchison Stables & Laurel Ridge Sport Horses, but I am open to more suggestions! Your input is much appreciated!
Susie is the only one in the area that I can think of that does top level show jumping. My friend lives nearby in Fallbrook and drives to San Diego to ride with Lynn and Guillermo Obligado (Woodgrove Farm). She likes them a lot. I’ve competed against their students and they were alway competitive, well prepared, and well mounted.
I don’t think Laurel Ridge has a full time trainer but I could be wrong.
And if you end up driving to San Diego, you have a whole host of other options (Hap Hansen, etc.)
Liz Hutchinson, Susie Hutchinson’s daughter is near there. My sister rode with her when she lived in Menifee

Liz Hutchinson is no relation to Susie Hutchinson. Liz moved up north to the bay area at Avalon in Woodside, CA. http://www.avalonhunterjumpers.com/#!training/c1mhc

FWIW it’s Susie Hutchison (http://www.susanhutchisonstable.com) and seconding that they are not related.
For the OP, you can do a trainer search on Horseshowtime.net to see what shows the various trainers attend and what classes their clients typically ride in. If you do that, use Susan, not Susie,
Susie is great. Wonderful to deal with.
