Becca, if you want you can ride solo and follow another group as well And bitting up is never a bad ideas, I usually go up a step to an elevator on mine.
Since its my first time out I really didnt want to go by myself, but I mayā¦I really want to come, and its sooo close!
Iāll sleep on it tonight and make my decision.
which pace were you wanting to do? Iāve got 2 girls doing the beginner pace who would love a 3rd to ride along with, as well as I can volunteer my hubby for a partner on the beginner pace lol
I wanted to do the intermediate. Iāll ask my BO tonight if she wants to go, they went to the one in Moreland a few weeks ago and had fun.
If not, Ill just go it aloneā¦I really want to go, thats on my bucket list!
Can someone give me more specifics about the beginner versus intermediates? I signed up for beginners and didnāt even ask my riding buddy, lol!
Also, I ride bitless. Iām assuming thatās okay?
Katy, no problem on the bitless at all. We have no tack requirements other than be safe. The beginner pace is a walk/trot based pace, while the intermediate pace is a trotting/cantering based pace. Both have jumps available, and follow a very similar terrain/path (mostly a shared course with differing optimum times and a few extra turns on the intermediate pace). Anything else you need Katy?

I think that covers it - well, I need my mare to be sound next week!
Sending soundness vibes for you!
We also need soundness vibes, haha. Although, I do have a 2nd horse my friend can borrow, so weāre coming no matter what!
Thanks! Jet has only been down once, for two days, in the almost five years Iāve had her until this episode. Itās two weeks today. I hate seeing her hurting (sheās normally very energetic), and I need to ride my girl! I have a four-year-old (her filly) who I guess Iāll bring if Jet is still off, but it wonāt be as much fun. My filly is a plodder, not at all like her momma.
So, how did it go? I was so disappointed not to be able to participate.
