Hunter results

Is there anyway to track results of hunter horses?

For recognized showing, the USEF horse search is the best way.

Is that the one you need to be a USEF member to use?

Yes, you do need to be a member to search results, unfortunately. Although I’m not sure why that is.

:frowning: well that is not gonna happen considering I live in Europe. Thanks anyway

You can have a “fan membership” with the USEF and see all the results. There are often codes floating around this board for free fan memberships - I think there was one within the past week or so, so scroll down a bit and look for a thread that mentions fan memberships. I assume you can be a USEF member while living in Europe, but I’m not positive about that one.

Alternatively if you know where the horse has been competing you could look up the show results which can be timing consuming and cumbersome - as there are several different horse show websites so you’d have to check the different ones, sometimes they’re not posted at all. It can be time consuming and cumbersome, the $25 fan membership might be your best option. Also the USEF only includes USEF sanctioned shows.

If you need it for one or two in particular feel free to PM me and I’ll pull for you.

Very annoying. It didn’t used to be this way, maybe 4 years ago? Then Kessler became president and it changed. Who knows why.

I find it extremely sad with organisations sitting on results and making you pay to view. I’m just waiting for the god almighty FEI to start charging people money to check out results.

I have a paid FN Verlag (German) subscription. But with them you can search and get some info even when not a member so at least you can search and see if it would be worth paying for.

Even so it seems to me they don’t link offspring to horses that didn’t compete so you really need to be a detective to get somewhere 😒

I used to work with standardbreds and for them there are some pretty amazing databases around the world free of charge. And I find it to be a bit the same with race horses in general. While riding horses and their organisations seem to go all in to make things as complicated as possible…
