Hunter shadbelly for “busty” women...?

I need a shadbelly but it seems that every one I try is so small in the bust it’s not fitting. I’m a size 12-14 regular clothes and a D cup. I have tried my normal size range in two different brands and both were so tight in the chest it wasn’t wearable. Are there any busty women out there who have had success finding a shadbelly? I’m thinking that I will have to go way out of my normal size range and then massively alter to look right. Is this the norm for this type of coat?! Are there any brands that have worked best for other C+ cup ladies?
thanks!!!

I have an asmar shadbelly that fits my D/DD cup. I find most of the Asmar stuff pretty accommodating, actually.

I’m a 34D-DD, street size 6, and I randomly bought a TuffRider shad a few years ago that was on deep discount at the local tack store. It’s actually been fantastic; very lightweight but still has a nice drape. It’s very stretchy as well so it easily accommodates the girls. It comes in Sm/Med/Lg/XL which is kinda annoying; I think I bought the medium and it’s a bit roomy but I don’t really mind that personally.

I’m a 34GG and with a minimizing bra, I fit into a size 16 RJ Classics Dressage shad. I did move the buttons slightly, but since shads are double-breasted, it was SUPER east. Plus, I took out the weights in the tails and it’s exactly the same as a hunter shad

I will also say that the Asmar shadbelly is the winner for someone with a full figure. I love mine. I am a size 38D and a ladies size 10-12, and the Asmar fits nicely in the chest and arms, as well as in the shoulders, so it doesn’t restrict movement or make you feel like you are wearing someone else’s jacket.

Okay, I have been dying to get the London show jacket in Olive but I’m a D cup and all the models look tall and thin so I’ve avoided even trying (I had to order my Grand Prix with an “endowed” fit, for example. Thanks for sharing your experience - I think I might give it a try!

@Brutus614 I am thinking that a 16 RJ Classics is what I will need. I’m looking for all alternatives because I know I will have to get alterations on it (arm length and shoulder width).

@Backstage and @mrs_beasley Thanks for your advice!!! Based on your comments, I’ve been looking online for Asmar Shadbellys and can’t seem to find any in stock. Maybe they are in a yearly transition stage…?

@541hunter Thanks for the response! The last shadbelly I bought was a TuffRider (size XL) and it’s really poor fit across my chest, which was what inspired this post!

I’m a 34E and in an RJ shad. Street size 6, but struggle with the bust on a lot of coats and show shirts.
