In fox hunting, do riders wear field boots or dress boots? Or does it not matter?
Dress boots are worn for formal dress and field boots are for rat catcher.
That said, there are some who wear field boots due to previous injuries that make getting into dress boots even with a zipper a painful and /or impossible experience.
If you are new to hunting most hunts overlook minor faults in your dress as long as you look neat, tidy, and workmanlike.
You will find dress boots more useable.

There’s a slight problem though…I can feel the pulse in my legs when I put them on…that’s how tight they are! I’m taking them to a boot repair place to get stretched so no problem!
