Hunting breastplate martingale

I’m looking for the unicorn of all breastplate martingales - an old school hunting breastplate martingale. One without elastic, and not 5-point.

I am in New Zealand and our favourted brands are Stubben, Collegiate, Platinum, Hinterland. I’m open to suggestions of other brands. Happy to pay for quality, but prefer not to pay moonbeams, bearing in mind shipping to NZ can be pricy.

Are they really that hard to find in New Zealand? These Nunn Finer ones are pretty popular with hunters/ eventers in my area: https://www.vtosaddlery.com/product/BRSTPLT/NFHB.htm

They’re decent but not amazing quality leather-- but pretty sturdy. They’re available at a lot of tack stores in the US-- no idea about shipping, though!

Breastplate Martingales are not hard to find in New Zealand, but I am struggling to find what I want. I don’t want elastic, and I don’t want fancy stitching.

Shires do a hunting weight breastplate http://www.shiresequestrian.com/

Caldene also http://www.caldene.co.uk/

Horse Country’s page-- they have proper hunt tack. The Nimrod line is solid.

You might try this one from Bobbies English Tack

I bought exactly as you described from Riding Warehouse. It was a Bobby’s, flat with nickel fittings, standing attachment. The strap over the withers was padded and fancy stitched. Everything else plain. They have one with a running attachment, too. Very inexpensive and decent quality for the price. Oiled up nicely.

The Horze Hunting Breastplate at:

Might be close to what you are looking for. Not a five point and no elastic. Very reasonably priced at $49.46 USD. Enter Horze Breastplate in the search query and it sold be the first that comes up in the search results.

That Horze one has fancy stitching, which is one of the things KyrieNZ does not want. The leather quality will not be as good as the Nunn Finer or Bobby’s English Tack ones, either. Never heard of Nimrod, but it looks very nice & solid!

Smith Worthington makes some nice ones. This is listed as an eventing breastplate but it’s simple flat leather:

I have a Gatsby from horseloverz.com that has worked well for me. The leather’s not as wide as you often see on hunting breastplates, but it’s held up fine for me. The Gatsby runs a little big. My large pony who wears cob in everything else needed a pony size.
