Hunting in NY?

Anyone hunting in Upstate NY?

What do you consider “upstate NY?” When I moved South, I was told where I lived (on the Hudson, but on the NY/NJ line) was “upstate” by someone who lived in Queens.

I’ve been told Albany is upstate as well. And that I’m not near Albany that were I live in is also upstate.

OK so you’re in the Binghampton area, just for clarification.

I’m a little bit more west in the Rochester area where we have the Genesee Valley Hunt. I don’t know any closer to you personally, but I’m still fairly new to the foxhunting scene.

You can go to the mfha web site (www.mfha.org) to find out which hunts are closest to you, and then inquire with the master, or return here with questions about that specific hunt. Good luck.

I would think the closest to you would be Limestone Creek, Cazenovia, near Syracuse.

Old Chatham near Albany is probably a 3ish hour drive from Binghamton.

Maybe Windy Hollow Hunt in Port Jervis?

Really, though, Hinderella has it right: take a look at the MFHA roster, and go from there. Best of luck!
