Hunts in Co. Cork, Ireland?

I’m moving to Cork this winter and would really like to experience hunting there! However, googling, I’m having trouble finding websites or informations about the hunts in the area other than tourism photos with no helpful information.

Ideally, I would love to find a hunt where I can lease a horse for a bit until I can buy, but I’m also happy to wait until I’ve purchased if necessary.

I’ll be in/near Cork city but don’t mind having to drive a bit. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Unless you have a particular reason to purchase a horse, why not take the opportunity of hunting with a variety of packs and hire a horse where ever you go? Ireland is the land of the horse dealer and you will never be short of hirelings or offers of horses for sale. If you hire you will also be able to ask for a guide to go with you - one who knows the country, the locals, the best pub afterwards and it would be a really good craic.
