Husky Tool Box Trunk

Hi all!

I was curious if anyone has taken the time to paint a husky/Stanley/etc rolling tool box (trunk)? I’m wondering if it actually works?

Thanks!

I absolutely love mine. Way easier to move, pack into a trailer and I can hose it off when it gets dirty or something spills inside.

What kind of paint did you use?

Paint? It’s a plastic trunk.

I have the 37” version

OP asked if anyone has painted their Husky trunk and you responded…?

Ha ha ha!!! Disregard my lack of reading skills this morning! I would use a rattle can of rustoleum.

@TheMoo darn! I was hoping you’d successfully painted one. I’m curious to see if anyone has. I love mine too!

Now I’m going to try. Just a spot as my colors are black, grey and purple so the black works for me.

I feel like some sort of spray paint is probably the way to go? I am not super crafty though.

They make spray paint for specifically plastic. Home Depot and most any store like that carries it.

well I hope so since most cars are more than half plastic these days

Think highlights, not painting the whole.

Maybe some stripes or logo with your barn colors?

I have spray painted plastic trash cans to color code what feed goes in them (because some employees tend to not read labels but can match bag colors!). The paint has held up well for over a year now, and taken a beating. I didn’t use anything special, just spray paint from Lowe’s or Walmart, whichever had the matching color. I would think the trunk would hold up similarly, being pretty much the same plastic as a Rubbermaid trash can.
