I am freezing my tush off and need a hanging electric heater, recommendations?

I have a nice little teaching platform next to my arena with a small sofa. My dogs and I smash onto it, and we are all freezing! There are millions of these hanging patio heaters online, and many of them have very mixed reviews.

I don’t want to deal with propane. It Has to be electric, and overhead is best… Help!

The two trainers at our barn use an electric throw blanket.

My husband has a radiant heat one in the garage but you need to be right under it. He uses that for short jobs. If he is going to work there longer then he uses one of his propane heaters.

I’ve got the electric blanket already  and a pet heating pad…we are all wimps! Two Boston Terriers, one Papillon and me.
i want to put the radiant heater right above the sofa.

Maybe a milk house heater? Here’s one; you could probably find some at the local farm/feed store.

I wonder if a heated stadium bleacher seat (uses a USB battery) would work? They are sold on Amazon for around $120 and have decent reviews. My instructor uses my horse’s (and her horse’s coolers, dog blanket, etc) cooler to bundle up in. Says she is keeping it warm for my horse. I always feel bad when I need to take it from her at the end of the lesson to use on my horse! Another possibility would be to try the heated motorcycle suits. I’ve never used one but wondered if they would work well for barn chores.

Whatever I get has to keep my little pooches warm too…I envision something like the heater over a rotisserie chicken…

Need bigger, hairier dogs

Add one Newfy & everybody’s warm!

Seriously, the milkhouse heater - or what we call a (propane) Buddy Heater - will keep you & dogs warm.
