I am not a wimp

Even a ‘seasoned’ endurance rider can feel new muscles we never knew we had! I am pretty riding fit, but this was a new horse for me to ride in a 50 mile ride. He’s very narrow (and lately I’ve been riding a VERY WIDE horse, so big difference there), he moved a bit differently, it was a different saddle that I’m used to, and he wanted to pull and pull and pull (and I tried to NOT pull on him, so used my legs a lot). So it’s OK I was wiped out after we finished the 50 mile Owyhee Tough Sucker, and it’s OK that I am quite sore, ALL OVER, and wiped out, the 2+ days after. I’m not whining. I’m just sayin’. (Right? I’m not a wimp, right???)
here’s a link to the photo if it works:

LOLOLOL

Haha lol

You look balanced, quiet, and well-hydrated! Excellent!

I’m tired just reading about riding 50miles! And a puller…Ugh. They do make you sore all over. Kudos to you for finishing, and being able to make jokes about it the next day!

Tough horse to pull for 50 miles!!

Been there, done that!

Different horse makes a huge difference.
I rode my horse in a 3 day ride, 50 miles a day. Was a little sore afterward, but not much.

Rode a friends horse a month later in an easy 25. It hurt to walk for 2 days.

They all have four legs, but they all move just a little differently!

Glad to see someone left you a bowl of water in the corner. Hope you are better finally!

Sad to see you laid so low!

Your pic has made me smile for days. I have shared it with my horsey daughters and their friends and they all knew what you were feeling. Thank you for making all of us smile!
