I am sure this is old news

Hunting a hunt (it’s wonderful fall weather, though not riding atm, a foot pack sounded nice) I came across this.

http://www.huntsab.org/fox.htm

and of course, false statement within the first paragraph:

Fox Hunting in the US
At last count there where over 150 active dog packs in the US. While still called fox hunting packs, the majority of them actually tend to hunt coyotes. The quarry may be different, but the practices are very similar to those employed in the UK before the supposed ban. Animals are chased for hours and eventually ripped apart. At the bottom of this page you will find links to many of the active packs. Most “fox” hunting occurs on private land. Check first so you are aware.

Do you like to know if your hunt is listed on a site like this - or do you already know anyhow?

I’m not sure that these folks understand that they’ll probably leave with buckshot in their asses ! There is no way they will be allowed to behave in their customary fashion on this side of the pond.

Just stupid enough to ignore the fact I suppose…

And how many coyotes have y’all manage to run down and let your hounds kill? I’d venture to say that of all the runs on coyote in the US over the last ten or so years, fewer than 1 in 10,000 or maybe even 1 in 100,000 ended in a kill.

Yup - and with their ten runs points it is a long ride home.
