I remember when The Green Monkey hit the 2 year olds in training auction with both his furlong speed and hammer price :eek:
I also remember his, for lack of a better word, abysmal lack of success both on the track and in the shed.
Wonder what his original founder trigger was. Untrapped, it is not uncommon to founder after colic if they start dealing with gut inflammation issues.

Late PS from the BH article… sounds like TGM has been fighting health issues for 4 years off and on. Got to the point where he was down more than up and yes, I would agree, time to make the tough call and let him go
Maybe not the sire they were hoping for but that doesn’t mean for his connections, particularly the daily ones, that he was any less loved
